Project CODEt

Project CODEt is an organization founded by high school students in the Northern Virginia region to encourage and foster an interest in computer science through activities such as workshops, programs, and other hands-on activities. By exposing kids to computer science early, we can give them the tools and confidence to pursue programming throughout their academic and professional lives.

Project CODEt is stronger when we have more to offer.

What We Do

Enrich: The first step is gradually immersing the students in the world of computer science. Through our workshops, students are taught small amounts of information at a time until they thoroughly grasp the basic concepts of programming.

Encourage: Computer science is about doing, not just learning. After practicing the concepts, students are given projects to create, such apps, programs or stories, using what they’ve learned throughout the day. Many students continue working on these projects later on their own time.

Engineer: After practicing the concepts, students are giving projects or activities to conduct and engineer their own apps, programs or stories using Computer science commands, allowing for integration between imagination and technology.
